Greetings to all of you who are watching us here at Rojelab.net. Today we’re here with another cosmetic and makeup tutorial. Most women think of dyeing their hair when it comes to changing the way they look. Dyeing is not an easy task and you might have many questions about the process. Questions like which colors are suitable for my face and skin, and which methods are the best ones to use like highlight, Ombre, or Sombre. You might also be worried about damaging your hair. Today we’re here with Mrs. Shadi Homayouni so we can answer some of your questions.

Greetings. I’m Shadi Homayouni. I’m a formula and hairstyle expert. Today I’m here to discuss some topics regarding hair beauty as well as health and to answer a few questions you had.

Choosing a color for hair dye is often a hard topic for most women. What factors affect this choice and what are the most important points to consider when choosing a hair color. Hair dyes are separated into two main categories of warm colors and cool colors. Warmer colors are often suitable for people with light skin and light eye colors. Our cool colors are more suitable for dark or brown skin. For example, olive or grey colors are more suitable for people with bronze or brown skin. This is because the combination of cool color with warm color appears more beautiful and they complement each other very well and make your face look more appealing.

If you have very white skin, you can use warm colors like wine, copper, gold, light blond, which can make your face look warm and more beautiful even without makeup.

There are different methods to dye hair like highlights, Ombre, contouring, Sombre. Women often confuse these different methods and don’t know which one is more suitable for them. How would you go about consulting them so they can make the best choice possible. You should be very diligent when applying contour to the face. There is a different type of faces, which we have covered in our previous videos. We have round faces, rectangular faces, an oval face, heart-shaped faces, and a few other types. The best type of face is an oval shaped face. Skin colors such as brown, yellow, and white can also affect how you apply your makeup.

You must consider skin color, face type, and even eye color before deciding on the dye. Whether it’s highlights, foil wraps, Ombre or any other type of dye. The more we move towards an oval face shape, the better the dye and makeup will look. During a contouring process, we apply dark shades on the bulging areas of the face to make them look smaller. For example, if you have a round face, we apply contouring to some areas of the face to change the face and make it look more like an oval shape. Therefore, even if you have a brunette or dark skin with a round face, and you choose a blond color, which suits you well, even then you will have to apply the contouring to make the look fit you and make you look younger as well. Sometimes the client prefers not to go with the color we recommend. This depends on the client. However, the contouring must be applied in a brown color around the face.

If you have a long forehead and request a Meche or highlight starting from the root of your hair, or if you want a platinum blond bleach, then your forehead will look even longer. These are important factors to consider. If you want to highlight your hair, you have to start the highlight for the bangs 5 to 8 centimeters away from the roots so when you split your hair in the middle or to the side, this brown or natural color can reflect and minimize the effect. This should only be done for the bangs of course.

At what age can a person start dyeing their hair?.

We have different types of dye. There are Ammonia free dyes and dyes that contain low levels of Ammonia and then there’s the regular dye that contains a considerable amount of Ammonia. Ammonia can significantly damage your scalp tissue and hair after a period. You can start to dye your hair at a lower age. Nevertheless, it is possible for you to damage your hair and skin since at lower ages the hair and skin are more sensitive to chemicals. It’s recommended not to dye your hair at a young age. If you absolutely have to do it, use an Ammonia free dye, which can hardly affect the hair cuticles. A dye, which contains ammonia, can easily damage your scalp tissue and hair and you will have problems if you continue to dye your hair at older ages since your scalp will lose the moisture and become more sensitive. You should also make sure to use organic oxidants. The best time to start dyeing your hair is after you reach the age of 18.

What should pregnant women do if they want to dye their hair?
You should only use Ammonia free dye. Some physicians might allow using a dye after the first three months of pregnancy even if it contains Ammonia, but some physicians won’t allow it. It’s definitely recommended to do as you are advised by your physician. However, there is dye material available in the market specifically designed for women during their pregnancy. These types of dye won’t cause issues because they are produced to serve this exact purpose.

Can hormonal changes affect the effectiveness of hair dye?
They are definitely effective overall. The changes in hormone levels happen especially during the monthly cycle. Whether this can affect the ability of your hair to accept a dye is one of the most frequent questions we are asked. You all know that there is melanocyte in our skin and pigments in our hair. These pigments are made of the three natural colors, meaning red, blue, and yellow. The combination of these three colors gives you the color brown, which creates your skin color. If you have more red pigments in your hair, it will show itself after a few washes even after you’ve dyed your hair. This is because the red pigment in your hair takes precedence over the synthetic pigments in the dye. This happens with green colors if you have dark skin or dark hair and the green color is the prominent color that will show itself even if you dye your hair with a red color.

Women often ask why does my hair look green, or why does it look red. This is mainly because of the natural pigments in your hair, which affects the dye. Now when your hormone levels change, it can also affect the dye and the dye might look a bit different in color from what you expected to see. You must be careful to get the exact right color in these circumstances. I hope we answered some of your questions during this video.
