Greetings. I’m Shabnam Hazrati. I’m a hairstyle expert and instructor. All our courses are provided privately in three sessions. Today I want to talk to you about Tape Hair Extensions and Laser Hair Extensions. I’ll try to explain both of these methods during this tutorial.

For those of you who are trying to decide if you should go for a Tape Extension, know that tape extension are not recommended for short hair. On the other hand, tape extensions look great on medium and long hair. Another important factor to consider is how thin your hair is. Tape extensions can add considerable weight to the hair and I always tell my clients who have thin hair to reconsider tape extensions. Since tape extensions add too much weight to your natural hair and can damage the root, it’s better to opt for laser extensions instead.

Most people only want to add to the length and volume of their hair and laser extensions can achieve this perfectly. Most tape extensions are done from behind the head. For front and sides, you can use laser extensions that could add a smaller amount of hair to your natural hair strands. Since I’ve already explained laser extensions in previous tutorials, I will now try to cover tape extensions in action so you can see it up close.

To separate the hair we have to start in the back. Separate the layer behind the ears. Do the same on the other side behind the ear. Separate the hair from behind the ear, hold it using a hair clip, and do the same on the other side. When you want to start attaching the extensions, remember that you don’t start at the bottom of the hair at the root where the hair is thinnest. Separate one-third of the hair and start working from that point on. Brush the hair thoroughly. Hold the hair up and make sure you’ve separated the hair in a direct line.

Some people start adding the tape extensions from the middle of the hair layer, which is a mistake. Leave the hair immediately on the side of the ear and start working from that point on. Another batch can be attached to the next layer on the side. If the hair is wider, you can add more extensions. This is to prevent and glue or extensions from being visible if the client wanted to do a ponytail or split their hair in the middle.

Remember that just like hair extension used in laser extensions, the hair used in tape extension must also be natural hair. You must feel like you have natural hair on your head and be able to brush it and shower with it without having any tangles. The type of hair you choose must be compatible with the natural hair of the client. You can see the length of the tape extension here and you can use smaller sections of it as well. As you can see, the hair consists of elegant and even hair strands. I have chosen a dark color to attach to the model’s hair so you can see the process more closely.

As you can see at the top of the hair there’s a tape with one side being the exact same color as the hair and on the other side, there’s the glue we use to attach the extension to the hair. You should remove the cover on the glue slowly without touching the glue to weaken its potency. I will now show you the attachment process.

This is the part of the hair where we want to attach the extension. Make sure the hair is separated in a direct line and is brushed thoroughly. The hair must be clean and there should be no oil on the roots. The size of the tape is almost 2 centimeters. We should add 1.5 centimeters of the hair inside the tape. Separate a layer of hair in a direct line, even and orderly. It’s exactly two-thirds of the tape size. Remove the glue cover slowly. Add your first tape directly under the hair layer. The tape extension should be attached one centimeter away from the root. Position the hair exactly on the middle of the glue. I used different colors so you can see the process better. Do not touch the glue with your fingers.

Remove the glue from the next layer, stick it exactly on top of the previous layer, and fix it using a plier designed specifically for this process. This is how we perform a tape extension attachment. The incompatible color is by design so you can see the process more clearly. You saw the process we did on both sides of the hair layer. The next tape will be attached on the side and if you have a wider hair batch, you can even use three tape layers next to each other.

This process continues on different layers of hair until you reach the top. For the bangs and more visible parts of hair, you can use laser extensions for a more delicate and beautiful extension. This will result in a smaller and lighter extension will much less pressure applied to the hair roots. To take care of your hair extension, use special extension brushes, continue using hair serums and a hair mask as you always do, wash your hair gently and make sure your hair is completely clean when you go to have your extension done. Make sure to tie your hair at night or make a ponytail. Tape extensions last two to three months, but considering hair growth,
These extensions are usually removed after one and a half or two months.

The hair is completely natural and after they are removed, we will recharge the Keratin tips and they can be reattached again until your next restoration session. The type of hair we are using here can be used at least three times.

We are available for services and classes through our contact information available at the description. You can also visit our website for more information. Our classes are all conducted privately and you will receive a valid certificate upon graduating from your class.
