Today we’re here with one of the instructors in the field of Micro-pigmentation to answer some of the most frequent questions you have asked and address some of the common problems people might face with this procedure like color changes or fading.

First off, I want to greet you and thank you for taking this time to be with us.

Let’s start by asking the reason for fading effect after Micro-pigmentation.
For some who have had the procedure done themselves or done by a pigment expert. What could be the main cause of this?
The lifespan of a micro-blading or micro-procedure can have different reasons. People who perform this process should make sure to use original colors, hold the device in the right angle, and perform the process at the right speed. There should also be a checklist filled by the client to let the performer know.
If they use any type of drugs or are affected by any special skin or health problem. This could largely affect the procedure and the steps taken after the process. The client might have very oily skin. If this is the case, the expert should let the client know about the way they should take care of their body after the process.

Mrs. Amery, would you please tell us the main difference between micro-blading and micro-pigmentation?
Unlike micro-pigmentation where an electronic device is used to enter the pigmentation material under the skin, micro-blading is done with a handheld manual device and it doesn’t penetrate the skin as much either. In micro-blading, the lines must be irregular and they are very delicate, which makes the work look natural. Micro-pigmentation however isn’t like that, considering it’s an older method and it’s usually used on people with older tattoos who want to redo it or cover it with lighter colors.

What would you say is the main advantages of micro-pigmentation?
Well, I’m sure everybody likes the procedure to be painless and without bleeding. This is a painless procedure. There’s no bleeding and it’s very natural and discreet.

I know this is a common question for most people. What’s the difference between micro-pigmentation and traditional tattoos?
With older tattoos, you used different blades and you had to work on the dermis layer of the tissue. This cause the skin to rapture. It was much more painful and there was bleeding. In addition, after a while, there was usually color changes which were mainly caused because the procedure took place in the dermis layer. During micro-pigmentation, this is very rare because we are mainly concerned with Epidermis layer. The process is scientific and the results are much better.

Is micro-pigmentation mainly only used for cosmetic reasons, or can it be used for other purposes?
Micro-pigmentation can also be used for medical purposes as well as cosmetic ones. It can be used to help people with Alopecia, or people who have had hair loss on the head and eyebrows because of chemotherapy. Micro-pigmentation can give them the most natural results. It’s used in paramedics to cover and cure acne or birthmarks also use it. It’s also used to cover lines or scratches left as a result of surgery. It’s even used to cover and repair harelips with very natural satisfying results.
